Mission of the Committee: IHPC’s Environment and Health Committee (EHC) has been directed to focus initial efforts on raising awareness of environmental impact on human health and medicine among healthcare providers, policymakers, and patients, and then to create a mechanism to integrate awareness and screening of environmental toxins into healthcare more broadly, especially in patient populations affected by chronic disease. It is anticipated that this effort will require collaboration between allied professional organizations and patient’s rights advocacy groups, all working together to influence public policy at both the federal and state levels. (Formed 2017)
