The discussion examined the benefits experienced by patients, and care staffs, using massage therapy in clinical settings.

Susanne Cutshall, an Integrative Health Specialist and Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse tweeted, “At Mayo Clinic Massage Therapy is utilized for multiple symptoms and conditions and offered in the clinic and hospital.”

Brent Bauer, MD, (@babmd) director of the Mayo Clinic’s Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program, tweeted, “Some of the most heartfelt comments I have seen from patients are those who received massage as part of their hospital care.”
