Dr. Nancy Gahles, DC, CCH, RSHom(NA) began practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1980 specializing in soft tissue injuries. She became Research Dir. of NeuroSpinal Biomechanics and in 1982 founded Medical-Legal Diagnostics, an interdisciplinary soft tissue diagnostic center, diagnosing and treating soft tissue injuries, expert witness testifying and training lawyers as to the effects of soft tissue injuries. Dr. Gahles is Certified in EMG, evoked potentials and Thermography.
Dr. Gahles has maintained an integrative healthcare family practice since1980 focusing on chiropractic, nutrition, family dynamics, homeopathy, yoga, meditation and spiritual wellness.
Dr. Gahles is a Certified Classical Homeopath. She has served as a faculty member and Clinical Supervisor for the New York School of Homeopathy. She was Board Member and President of the National Center for Homeopathy for 10 years where she was instrumental in gaining ground for recognition of homeopathy in the mainstream and in public policy. She was named 2009 Most Influential Person in Homeopathy by Integrator Blog. She served NCH as Director of Public Education and Advocacy 2012-2014.
Her advocacy, policy and lobbying interests are now served through her work with the Integrative Healthcare Policy Consortium where she is a Board Member-at-large and serves on the Non-Discrimination and Federal Policy Committees. She represents the IHPC as a partner with the American Sustainable Business Council serving as Co-Chair of the Healthcare Working Group recently chairing a White House Summit roundtable with Michael Hash, chief architect of the ACA and as representative to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
Dr. Gahles is an Ordained Interfaith Minister with post-graduate training in Spirituality & Healing in Medicine from Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the George Washington Institute for Spirituality and Health. She is a community based minister, wedding and rites of passage celebrant, funeral officiant and palliative care practitioner.
Dr. Gahles is a free lance journalist, member of the Assoc. of Healthcare Journalists, newspaper columnist, author of numerous articles, book chapters, and has produced and appeared on radio shows, videos and news media spots. Dr. Gahles is on several Ask-The-Expert panels of magazines including Mothering Magazine. She serves on the Advisory Panel of the Integrative Healthcare Symposium and is a yearly presenter there and blog/article contributor to Integrativepractitioner.com
Dr. Gahles is the author of : The Power of $elf Care: A Common Sense Guide to YOUR Wellness Solution and a TEDxTalk of the same name. She has spoken and presented on this across the US introducing her innovative concept of the Health Investment Portfolio© to college campuses, small businesses and the Corporate Wellness arena as well as integrative medicine hospital programs.

Gathering statistics/data and changing the paradigm from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to Post Traumatic Stress Potential is her latest passion and the subject of her next book.
